Steady Routines, Stronger Students
Some weeks come with big events and deadlines, and other weeks are more “normal.” Either way, students thrive when they feel steady, supported, and encouraged. Even when it isn’t test week, there are still plenty of moments that stretch our kids: learning something new, finishing assignments, managing emotions, navigating friendships, or simply staying focused from morning to afternoon. The goal for a week like this is not perfection. It’s consistency, confidence, and a healthy rhythm that helps students do their best day by day.
Weekly Success Tips
- Pack backpacks, water bottles, devices, and any needed items the night before to avoid rushed mornings
- Keep a consistent bedtime and wake-up time so your child is well-rested and ready to focus
- Create a simple after-school rhythm: snack, short break, then homework or reading time
- Limit distractions during homework by setting phones and screens aside until work is finished
- Offer specific encouragement each morning, such as “I’m proud of your effort,” or “Keep going even if it feels hard”
- Ask meaningful check-in questions after school, like “What was something you learned today?” or “Who did you encourage today?”
- End the day with a short moment of prayer or gratitude to help your child reset and reflect

🌍 Final Turn-In Reminder: Multicultural Presentation Boards
This is an important reminder that the final turn-in for Multicultural Fair presentation boards is due tomorrow, March 2, 2026. These boards represent weeks of learning and preparation, and the final submission is essential so students can be fully ready to present and participate in the event.
Our Multicultural Fair & Open House takes place on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 5:30 PM. This event is a special evening where students will showcase the countries they’ve been studying through creative boards, research, and presentations. It’s a great opportunity for students to build confidence, practice public speaking, and take pride in their work.
After final boards are turned in, students will begin polishing their presentations and practicing in preparation for the fair. Families can support their child by helping them review key facts, practice speaking clearly, and feel confident sharing what they’ve learned.
We will also be hosting our Open House that evening. Classrooms will be open, student work will be on display, and teachers will be available to share highlights from the school year. If you know someone who may be interested in WCHAS, this is a wonderful event to invite them to attend.
Thank you for supporting your child in finishing strong. We can’t wait to celebrate their hard work and creativity with you on March 12, 2026.

⏰ Daylight Saving Time Begins – Sunday, March 8, 2026
Daylight Saving Time begins next Sunday, March 8, 2026. Please set your clocks forward one hour Saturday night before bed.
Because we “spring forward,” mornings can feel a little tougher for students at the start of the week. To help Monday go smoothly, families may want to:
Start bedtime a little earlier on Saturday and Sunday night
Set alarms a few minutes early to avoid a rushed morning
Plan for a calmer start to the day with breakfast and prepared backpacks
Thank you for helping your student arrive rested and ready to learn as we adjust to the time change.
Here’s What Else Is Going On This Week
Theme Friday | Friday, March 6, 2026
This Friday’s theme is Dinosaurs. Students are invited to join the fun by wearing dinosaur-themed clothing or outfits inspired by prehistoric times: dinosaur shirts, fossil prints, “Jurassic” gear, or anything that shows off your favorite dino.
Please remember all attire must follow the WCHAS Dress Code Policy. This is not a free dress day. Students who choose not to participate should wear their regular school-appropriate attire.
We can’t wait to see our campus filled with dino creativity and Lion pride.
